Paris, December 2, 2025 – Bitstack, France’s leading Bitcoin savings application, announces today a $15 million Series A funding round led by 13books Capital, with participation from existing investors AG2R LA MONDIALE, Plug and Play Ventures, Serena, Stillmark and Y Combinator.
Prices in the euro area have risen 23.4% between October 2020 and 2025, according to the European Central Bank (ECB), reflecting a marked erosion of the currency’s purchasing power. Bitcoin, capped at 21 million units, offers an alternative that continues to grow in adoption. Today, nearly 4 million French people hold Bitcoin. Launched in 2022, Bitstack has established itself as a key player meeting this rising demand by making Bitcoin saving accessible to the public, with a mission to help people preserve their purchasing power and achieve their life goals.
Alexandre Roubaud, Co-founder & CEO at Bitstack, explains : “In three years, Bitstack has achieved exceptional growth: more than 300,000 active users have saved over €300 million in Bitcoin, and our revenue has increased tenfold in two years. These results demonstrate the growing interest of the French population in Bitcoin, in a context of economic uncertainty and monetary tensions. We are now the most widely used French crypto app.”
Yannick Lassalle, Director of ALM Innovation at AG2R LA MONDIALE, comments: “Our investment in Bitstack reflects AG2R LA MONDIALE’s conviction that digital assets, particularly Bitcoin, must be integrated into long‑term savings strategies. Bitstack now represents a trusted partner to whom we can direct clients seeking to diversify their savings into crypto‑assets, and Bitcoin in particular.”
Bitstack Accelerates and Delivers on its European Ambition
Bitstack now operates in a dozen European countries, such as Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy, offering content in the languages of each market where the app is available. This expansion is supported by the MiCA (Markets in Crypto‑Assets) license obtained on June 30, 2025 from the AMF. Bitstack is the third French company to secure this approval, meeting strict European regulatory requirements and offering enhanced protection, transparency and reliability for its users.
The First VISA Debit Card in Europe Offering “Stackback”: a Bitcoin rewards program whose benefits grow in line with the user’s savings
Known for its Bitcoin savings solution that rounds up everyday purchases to the next euro and automatically converts the difference into Bitcoin, Bitstack is expanding its offering with innovative services for French users:
A beta phase for the card begins on January 13, 2026, accessible to the first 5,000 individuals on the waitlist.
Michael McFadgen, Co‑Founder and Partner at 13books Capital, concludes : “With this fundraising round, Bitstack enters a new dimension. By expanding its geographic footprint and enhancing its product suite, including a VISA debit card with stackback and a euro account with a French IBAN, Bitstack is now ideally positioned to cement its status as Europe’s leader in Bitcoin savings.”
