Paris, March 25, 2026 — Bitstack, Europe’s leading Bitcoin savings app, MiCA-licensed and backed by Y Combinator, announces it has opened its capital to the public and raised $4.5 million in under 24 hours on Crowdcube, Europe’s largest private market investment platform, which has also hosted the fundraising rounds of Revolut, Qonto and Monzo.
This first opening of capital to the public was offered to retail investors, giving them the opportunity to become Bitstack shareholders on the same terms as the company’s $15 million Series A, closed in December 2025 and led by 13books Capital, alongside AG2R LA MONDIALE, Plug and Play Ventures, Serena, Stillmark and Y Combinator.
A massively oversubscribed round
With over 25,000 people on the waitlist and more than $26 million in investment pledges, demand far exceeded the number of available shares. The round, initially set at $2 million, reached its target in just 20 minutes. Faced with the scale of demand, it was expanded to $4.5 million to allow as many people as possible to participate. By closing with over 8,000 retail investors, Bitstack has broken a European record, surpassing other major companies that have previously undertaken similar rounds.
Alexandre Roubaud, co-founder and CEO of Bitstack, said: “Over 8,000 people chose to become Bitstack shareholders today. No company in the European Union had ever brought together this many retail investorsin such
a round. That is a powerful signal. Demand for a simple, regulated Bitcoin savings solution in Europe has become massive, and Bitstack’s success is a testament to that. We have surpassed 300,000 users and €300 million saved in Bitcoin, our revenue grew 2.5x in 2025, and over 15,000 new users have joined us since January across Germany, Spain, Italy and the Benelux. We will now accelerate our growth and cement our position as Europe’sleading Bitcoin
savings app.”
What this round will support
• European expansion: rollout across the European Union, enabled by the MiCA license obtained from the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) in June 2025;
• New products: launch of a euro account with a French IBAN and a VISA debit card offering up to 1% Stackback (bitcoin earned on every euro purchase);
• Hiring: around twenty open positions across all functions: compliance, product, engineering, marketing and customer support;
• Educational content: relaunch of Bitstack’s YouTube channel featuring monthly interviews with public figures (“Bitcoin : La monnaie de la mondialisation ?” with François de Rugy) and educational series (“Thèse d’épargne de Bitcoin”, “Bitcoin & Environnement”, etc.).
Kabir Sethi, co-founder and CTO of Bitstack, added: “Over 25,000 people signed up for early access to this round — an all-time record on Crowdcube across Europe, and proof that our community wants to be part of our journey. This demand also came from individuals drawn to Bitcoin’s growing adoption in Europe, who trust usto lead it. Their enthusiasm strengthens our commitment to our mission: making Bitcoin accessible to everyone.”
Matt Cooper, co-CEO of Crowdcube, commented: “We are thrilled that a company as exciting as Bitstack has achieved the largest European fundraise ever recorded on Crowdcube. Through this round, over 8,000 retail investors from more than thirty countries have accessed the company’s equity for an average ticket of around €500, benefiting from an opportunity previously reserved for institutional investors. The exceptionally high level of engagement and the broad geographic diversity of the community demonstrate the power that a fundraising round can represent for a European leadersuch as Bitstack.”
